You can delete images from any album by right-clicking on the image name in the Image Explorer (or the thumbnail in an open album) and selecting Delete. Keep in mind that when you delete an image from an album, even in the My Albums area, you are deleting the original image. Only the folders in My Albums are shortcuts, the images inside the albums are the originals. When you delete them, they are sent to the Recycle Bin.

To recover an accidentally deleted image you will need to open your Windows Recycle Bin. Right click on the file you want to restore. From the right-click menu chose Restore and your image will reappear in the album you deleted it from. If you empty your recycle bin, deleted images can no longer be recovered.
